Tanzania’s two most famous names in three days. We drive you across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area onto the Serengeti plains for a full afternoon and morning in the Seronera Valley — the richest year-round big-cat country in East Africa — then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater on the way home. It is a genuinely full three days, and we are honest about the driving involved; if you would prefer to fly one leg, we can arrange a light-aircraft hop from Seronera and give you an extra half-day in the park instead.

- Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your journey, day by day
- Day 1
Arusha to the Central Serengeti
Leave Arusha early and travel towards the Serengeti, crossing the Great Rift Valley and passing the Ngorongoro Highlands before descending onto the endless plains.
Once inside the park, the drive becomes part of the safari. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you continue towards the Seronera Valley, one of the Serengeti’s richest wildlife areas. The river and surrounding kopjes attract lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of plains game.
Continue with an afternoon game drive until sunset before arriving at your camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

- Day 2
Serengeti Full Day Game Drive to Ngorongoro
Rise early for a morning game drive while the Serengeti is still cool and wildlife is most active. Explore the Seronera area, following the river and rocky kopjes where lions and leopards are often found. During migration periods, your guide will adjust the route according to where the herds are moving.
After the morning safari, enjoy lunch before leaving the Serengeti and driving towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. The landscape changes from open savannah to green farmland and forest as you approach the crater rim.
Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, giving you time to relax, enjoy the cooler highland air, and prepare for the following day’s crater safari.

- Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha
Start the day with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for your final major wildlife experience. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, where permanent water and rich grasslands support a remarkable variety of wildlife.
Look for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending the rim and beginning the drive back to Arusha.
Continue through the green landscapes around Karatu and arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari.
