About the property

What this collection feels like

Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge is set in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area (WMA), close to Tarangire National Park and overlooking Lake Burunge. Its location gives you a quieter safari setting while keeping you within easy reach of Tarangire for game drives. The lodge sits among baobab trees and open bush, with wide views across the lake and surrounding landscape. It is a good place to slow down after a day in the park, enjoy the sunset, and experience the natural surroundings away from the busier safari routes. The WMA setting also makes it possible to enjoy activities such as nature walks and other experiences outside the national park, depending on the season and local arrangements.

The Lodge Room

The accommodation includes elevated safari tents and bungalow-style rooms, designed to give you both comfort and a close connection with the surrounding landscape. Rooms have comfortable beds, private en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, and their own verandas or decks. Some room types are particularly suitable for families and small groups.

Lodge Comfort

The main lodge is built around an elevated lounge and dining area with views towards Lake Burunge. There is also a swimming pool where you can relax between safari activities. The atmosphere is peaceful and informal, making it easy to enjoy a quiet afternoon or watch the changing colours of the landscape at sunset.

Meals, Drinks & Wi-Fi

Meals are served at the lodge restaurant, with breakfast, lunch and dinner arranged around your safari schedule, including packed lunches when you spend the day exploring Tarangire. You can enjoy drinks at the bar or relax around the main lounge after your game drive. Wi-Fi is available for guests, with availability depending on the area of the property, so we recommend using it mainly for staying connected rather than expecting a strong connection everywhere.
