Best Time to Visit
July–October for the Great Migration crossings. January–February for excellent predator action and the calving season in the Serengeti.
How to Reach
Scheduled or charter flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to multiple Mara airstrips (1 hour). Overland from Nairobi is 5–6 hours.
The Great Migration
The migration arrives in the Mara from July, with peak Mara River crossings from August to October. Herds return south to the Serengeti by November.
