Summit Africa, then meet her wildlife

Kilimanjaro & Bush Combo — 11 Days

Comfort tier:

An eight-day Lemosho route Kilimanjaro climb followed by a three-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro recovery safari — the most rewarding way to know Tanzania. The mountain is paced for the highest possible summit success, and the safari that follows is deliberately gentle, with comfortable lodges and shorter drives so tired legs can truly rest.

What makes this journey unforgettable

Your journey, day by day

1

Arusha & Gear Check

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your Arusha lodge. In the afternoon your lead guide runs a thorough gear check — making sure boots, layers, sleeping bag and headlamps are climb-ready — followed by a full route briefing over dinner. An early night is recommended.

2

Lemosho Route Climb

Seven days on the mountain via Mti Mkubwa, Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, Barranco Wall, Karanga and Barafu — with summit night to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and descent via Mweka. The pace is deliberate, with one extra acclimatisation day built in to dramatically improve summit success. Three hot meals a day, KPAP-certified porters and a senior mountain guide throughout.

3

Tarangire National Park

A gentle recovery day — late breakfast, easy drive to Tarangire, and a relaxed afternoon game drive among the baobabs and elephant herds. Plenty of pool time at the lodge for tired legs.

4

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, meet your safari guide and depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a scenic drive of approximately two hours from Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for an unforgettable game drive.

The crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, and elusive leopard. Along the way, you’ll also encounter large herds of zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and a remarkable variety of birdlife, all thriving within this unique ecosystem.

Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery before continuing your wildlife safari. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and head to your lodge, where you can relax and end the day with a memorable dinner

Departure – Ngorongoro to Arusha

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha, taking in the beautiful landscapes one last time. Upon arrival, savor a farewell lunch as you reflect on the unforgettable moments of your Tanzania safari. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward flight home. If you’re not ready for the adventure to end, you can continue your journey with a relaxing beach escape in Zanzibar.
